Well I've been riding on my 125cc sports bike, and I'm thinking of buying a Yamaha R1 second hand,
I know they have alot of power and I'm very excellent with clutch control, I can handle the shape, speed and gears am I ready?

I would not advise going straight from a 125cc to an R1.

You say you can handle the clutch and gears.
I should bloomin well hope so !

What you will not be able to handle is the extra horsepower that kicks in almost instantaneously.
a YBR125 Yamaha is 10.05 HP @10,000rpm

An R1 is 180BHP @12500 rpm

Best to work your way up before getting anything considered a "beast".
Get it wrong on an R1 and it will kill you.

It is good that you can handle the shape. I don't know exactly what that means though.

You are not ready for an R1. You think you can handle the speed, when an R1 will go faster in 1st gear than your 125cc will go flat out downhill with a tailwind.

Lower your sights a lot and go for a 500cc at most.

Mr. Insane,

It's hard to tell without knowing you, and your screen name doesn't inspire a high degree of confidence!

If you can, take a test ride in low traffic area, that should tell you if you're ready or not. With a bike like that, if you're not ready, you'll know, believe me! (also if you have to change your underwear after the ride, then you aren't ready either!)

As long as you are mature enough for the first 5-6 months you should be fine....but if you are going to act like a total child with it then you will most defiantly crash...and probably die

The simple answer is yes. All the controls work the same, and the physics behind how they ride is similar except for the weight and power. A bike will only go as fast as you open the throttle, so if you're sensible then you'd be fine.
You need to ask yourself if you can resist the urge to go bonkers, i went to a VFR400 after i passed my test, then to a GSXR 600, then on to the thousands. Even on the VFR I got myself into trouble once or twice...
Whatever you choose, good luck, have fun and stay safe-ish!
