if i have a directv dish and i borrow my friends reciever can i get service?

I want to buy a directv dish on the internet, have somebody install it, then use my friends reciever who pays each month for directv. Will this work? if not what else would i have to do?

Yes, it will work. The satellite providers do not have the ability to determine where their receivers are getting the satellite signal from, so as long as that receiver is activated on your friends account, and the dish is installed properly, it will work.
