Yeah yeah , i know the format has been dead for like 25 years.
DVD's are great
- Clear Picture ( but not as clear as Blu-Ray)
- skip scenes / fast ford and rewind fast
- put scenes of a movie in slow motion and zoom in
DVD's aren't so great
- They get scratch / break in half easy
- They're so shiny , it makes your eyes hurt just by looking at them
- EVER HEARD OF LASER ROT ?
My likes about Betamax
- The tapes look cool.
- They don't break easy. You can't throw it across the room. The tape will remain intact. You sit on a DVD. It will crack in half.
- You can record 1 - 2 movies one tape( 3 hrs.) VHS , up to 6 - 8 hrs.
Dislikes
Tracking ( as the tapes get older )
Risk of getting chewed up in the VCR.
I'm still using VHS to record programs off the TV. I still pruchase DVD's when I shop. I think DVD's are cool.
Betamax - one of greatest inventions. If it weren't for Betamax , there wouldn't be DVD's and Blu-Rays today.
