If someone accepts Christ, but sins before they die .. can they still go to Heaven?

If you HAVE the Holy Spirit.. can it ever leave you?
What if a man was a Christian his entire life, and accepted the HOLY SPIRIT , then right before he gets hit in a car crash a mean person gives him the middle finger, and he was angry about it, but didn't have time to repent.. would he still go to Heaven?

We are saved by God's grace. That is, His favor that we don't deserve. When one receives this gift they are forgiven of all sins they will ever commit. Also they are given the Holy Spirit who comes to live within them and empower them to live a life that pleases God. While no one does this perfectly, we continue to grow in this direction all of our lives.

Your forgiveness once you become a Christian is finished for all time and you are not required to do anything to keep being forgiven. Mostly because God's standards are so unfathomably high that we don't even realize how much we are sinning each day. So how can we repent and ask forgiveness about that which we are not aware of. But if the Holy Spirit lives within you, He will give you the desire to live a righteous life.

Everyone makes mistakes; nobody's perfect. That was why Jesus Christ died for our sins. Because by the teachings of the Old Testament, no one could get into Heaven, because everyone would have sinned before death since their last sacrifice. So yes, the person would still go to Heaven. The reason we still need to repent as Christians is because if we don't admit our mistakes they will fester inside us and grow into bigger sins, and lead us away from the path of Christ.

Once you are biblically born again - obeyed the gospel - the death (repentance), burial (water baptism in Jesus' Name) & resurrection of Jesus Christ (receive the Holy Spirit w/ the evidence of speaking in other tongues - Acts 2.38, Acts 2.4, Acts 8, 10, 19, John 3) you are saved.

After you are saved, your life begins to change b/c of the Spirit of God living in you, leading and guiding you, making sin very distasteful to be around.
Your holiness begins to show on the outside b/c you have holiness on the inside through the Spirit.
The Holy Ghost is actively perfecting you, but you are still human and living in a human, fallen world.
So yes, you live a repentant life and want to please the Lord, even though you may fall a bit every now and then.

The blood of Jesus Christ through baptism covers past and future sins.
So, according to your scenario of the man in the car crash, yes the man would still be covered by the blood of the Lord.

The Spirit of God is always there, but if you should start to ignore the leading of God and start living in the lust of the flesh so much that you think you are ok even while living in that sin, He will finally turn you over to a reprobate mind. Your eternal life w/ Jesus Christ would therefore be in danger.

If one is written in the Book of Life then that one will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Everyone sins against God, however, the Christian is the one that repents. Since the Christian repents from their sins, God will allow Christ to pay the wages of sin with His death instead of the Christian paying the wages of sin with him/herself.

of course. the Holy Spirit coming into us just gives us the ability to choose not to sin. it gives us a second nature, and helps to sanctify us and make us more like Jesus everyday. however since it is our human nature, and we don't lose our manhood when we get saved it is still very probable that we will still sin. however as life goes on we should grow in our Christian lives and become more like Christ, sinning less and less as we go. We will never be perfectly sinless until we get to heaven and see Jesus. when we get saved (accept Christ) God forgives all of our sins past present and future and therefore that last sin before you died would also be forgiven. hope i helped :)

If you subscribe to the "once saved always saved" doctrine, you won't lose salvation.

However, I personally believe we will be held accountable by our actions and how we live our lives.

god only knows,i think when a man dies his body goes back to the dust and his spirit goes back to god who created it.and that is when the judgment begins, and the judgement is between him and god,it,s not our job to judge him.

As long as the sin wasn't planned or intentional.

Hebrews 10: 26 For if we deliberately continue to sin after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but only the terrifying prospect of Judgment, or raging fire that will consume the enemies.

Despite what most will tell you, only God knows

Edit Whoa we already have 4 people who know more than God on YA
Sorry I can't bow down 4 you though, I guess you'll understand why
(goes to show how pity full you really are, and how twisted doctrines can
get= feelgood christianity for rich western cultures)

Peace

John 3:16 says,
Cause Jesus forgives.
There's no reason to practice Morality.
So being an evil little heathen and believing in Jesus will get ya to heaven. However if you are a good person and don't believe in Jesus you go to Hell.

Only a demon would suggest that,
only an ignorant would believe it.

The Holy Spirit is never taken from the saved believer in Jesus. Salvation is also never taken from the saved believer in Jesus.

The sin right before death is already paid for by Jesus.

Believe in JESUS for His free gift of eternal life in heaven, and you are forgiven all sins, no matter what those sins are, all sins past, present, and future, and you will be in heaven no matter what, and never in hell!

Jesus died on the cross for our sins, as FULL PAYMENT for ALL our sins! And then Jesus rose from the dead! Believe in JESUS for salvation, and you will be in heaven!

Jesus is God, and Jesus loves you so very much! :D And the Trinity is true! Jesus is the Messiah!

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to hell, is by believing in JESUS for His free gift of eternal life in heaven, believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for all our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what! John 3:16, John 6:47! :D

Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in JESUS for His free gift of salvation! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).

Please pray now: "Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You rose from the dead, and I thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die! :D
