If someone in MMA UFC did what Floyd Mayweather did to Victor Ortiz?

If someone say like Dos Santos or Silva or GSP KO'd an opponent that was in the middle of apologizing and their hands were down, what would the reaction be from MMA fans? Would MMA fans be like, "oh that's fair game, that was a good move!" or would MMA fans feel disgusted and that something like that is uncalled for?

The reason i ask is because I find the MMA seems to have more respect and honor amongst fighters than in boxing. Boxing just seems to be such a classless sport these days, or maybe it's just because of floyd's negative influence.

I mean, if someone in the MMA accidentally kicked ur nuts and then just took 2 seconds to apologize and touch gloves......would the other MMA fighter cheap shot the opponent who was apologzing or say, "well it was legal and fair game" or would they both mutually touch gloves, step back and resume fighting?

Why did you even ask that? The only cocky fighter in the MMA is Jon Jones and I couldn't picture him doing that.
You know your answer. No. That would never happen in MMA. They would "mutually touch gloves, step back and resume fighting."

Fighters have gotten flack from fans before when they've done things that fans considered "cheap". Personally I think it would be unethical, but well within the rules. If you go to touch gloves any time other than when instructed to do so by the ref, you're putting the fight at risk. You're making a friendly gesture towards a guy who's getting money and fame for beating you up. You shouldn't expect the other guy to be a good sport. But it's the sort of thing a fighter can only get away with once. His future opponents will know better.

Funny you should ask this. My first reaction when I saw Mayweather sucker punch Ortiz was "Rookie mistake!". Because it reminded me of an incident I've seen at an MMA fight a month ago. A couple of my classmates were invited to fight at an MMA event in a neighboring city last month and I tagged along as one of the cornermen(meaning free entrance ; P). At the dug out, I heard one rookie fighter's coach tell him not to bother touching gloves with his veteran opponent because the guy was notorious for sucker punching his opponents as they were touching gloves, so his fighter nods and true enough when their match started, he didn't touch gloves and they both went right at it. But in the middle of the match, just when he had the guy in trouble at the ropes and was pinning him with hooks and knees, the notorious guy acted like he got kneed in the groin, being the nice guy he was, the rookie stepped back and tried to apologize, the ref yelled at him to continue because he didn't see any foul and that's when the other guy threw an elbow straight in his face as he stepped back towards him, it stunned him and he got hit with a couple more punches before he got taken down then ground and pounded, prompting the ref to stop the fight and give the win to the notorious fighter. Lots of boos from the crowd and definitely a lot of curses from his corner, but since it was all "legal", the result stayed. As far as I can say, it doesn't matter what sport it is, there will always be a few bad eggs who go against the spirit of sportsmanship just to win, it's up to the ref and the officials to make sure that fair play is followed. In both instances, the ref played a crucial part in enabling one fighter to capitalize on the other's rookie mistake, but I believe these were exceptions more than the rule. As long as fans do not condone this type of behavior and encourage it, the act of a few black sheeps should not be taken to represent all fighters in general.
