If the Government will not protect us from these freaks in the NYC suv incident?

There is no way to stop every attack in a free society. The government cannot protect us from everything so we must be free enough to protect ourselves. The government has done a good job at protecting us from terrorist attacks from major Jihadist groups but there is no way to stop a few amateurs (which is what this attempt appears to be at this time) from making a make-shift bomb, putting it in a crowed area and hoping it explodes.

Remember that this attack and the underwear bomber were stopped by other citizens who noticed something was wrong. If you see something wrong tell someone.

First off Our police force acted on the tip of a citizen,fbi had nothing on this guy,secondly the guy was from pakistan and naturalized in this country,thirdly WE got lucky Again,face it we got damn lucky,and fourth we already have him,its really weird there have already been two missed attempts,we have to get better at this,had the one street vendor not noticed the smoke inside the car and was familiar with the smell,it could have been very bad.

They just did. If you're asking agencies to be psychic and stop people BEFORE they commit criminal acts, I think you've seen to many sci fi movies.

I really don't mind going over to bush hometown and protesting his lack regulation in the oil industry its just a dirty rotten shame. I really don't care if he no longer president.

well one of obama's good friends wasn't very good at building a bomb, that doesn't mean we the people should protect ourselves, obama loves us all, especially the young boys, so we need to just all sit on our hands and give obama more power...Oh and if anything does go wrong, its Bush's fault
