"Randy Johnson" or "Ichiro Suzuki" ? Will the Mariners retire the number #51 in honor of Ichiro or Randy Johnson if they retire the number #51? or In honor of both players.

* I personally would retire the number #51 honor of Ichiro.

They will almost definitely retire Ichiro's number. It would almost be insulting to him if they didn't after the career he's had. I'm surprised they haven't retired Johnson's already, though it's probably because most of his greatest success came with other teams.

The M's could do what the Yankees did and retire it twice. New York has retired the number 8 two times, so the Mariners could do that with 51!
