the laptops have to be connected to the same router in order to transfer stuff between them.
 
them like bluetooth? i don't mean online i wanna now just te wireless connection between to laptops.What about a toshiba and a HP laptops can i configure the laptops to stay connected to each-other via wifi,like mac users do with air port extreme and air port express
 
You can set one up for sharing it's ethernet connection as wifi. Then have the other one access that computers wifi.
