What would you do, where you would stay, what places would you visit ... and most importantly ... what would you eat?

My favourite band, Tokio Hotel, are German, so I'd go see their house, and catch them on tour etc.

also, I'd like to see Madam Tussaud's!
And eat German delicacies of course ! ;)

Munich

I'd eat schweinhaxen with spätzle or Nurnberger sausages with sauerkraut and kartoffelsalat

With a glass of Paulaner to wash it down.

I would go to Berlin and visit the sight of the Berlin Wall. But what does a "free one-week vacation to Germany..." have to do with religion?

Weisbaden. My father's family was from near there.

Bratwurst, but not sauerkraut. Yuck.

Food is the most important? prepare for fat jokes.

Already been. I went to Auschwitz and ate a lot of potatoes with various sauces.

i went for two weeks, visited family and stayed at my great grandmothers house.

i ate everything... but be wary of "home-made cheese"... we went to a restaurant that was supposedly famous for their cheese.... but it was like cheese pudding... and it was fizzy... imagine if you combined cheeze wizz, cottage cheese, 7-up, and pop-rocks together and then tried to eat it.... none of us could eat more than one small bite... its still, by far, the worst thing claiming to be food i have EVER put in my mouth.

we were in Gelnhausen, which is near Frankfurt in south western Germany. i have no idea about the rest of the country, but that area was very nice.
i would suggest staying somewhere in the Rhineland.. that is.. near the Rhine river... its very beautiful, and i would DEFINITELY suggest looking into a tour of it, they have lots of boats that travel up and down and there are castles and fortresses EVERYWHERE... i was 13 years old at the time and i tried to take a picture of them all as we traveled down but i ran out of film because there were so many!!

also they have "spa towns" that are very neat... we visited Bad Orb... look up some info.

i don't care where i stay or where i go or what i eat,as long as i can drink the beer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll worry about the details when I win a trip to Germany. However, I would try to plan it during Oktoberfest!
