...bikes you would suggest? I'm looking for a dirt bike that is the right size for me.That's around $1000-$1500.
 
Ask in the the motorcycle section, this is for bicycles.
 
Sounds like you're a beginner rider. I would go for something with an engine of around 175-350CC. That's plenty to move you around, big enough to let you ride in traffic, but light enough and small enough for you to pick it up when you put it down.

And you will. It's a given.

One other thing. Budget enough money to get a GOOD helmet. The rule of thumb is to put a $10 helmet on a $10 head. What's your head worth to you?

you sound like you need a pretty big bike, you can search craigslist.com or sites similar or go to your local gass station and buy a $2.00 auto and bike trader and look for a 250 or a 400 im selling a 2001 suzuki drz 400 trail bike right now if you live in michigan. if your interested contact me or what ever.
