and Christians don't join together? in their perceived fight against secularism. They both worship a god and lead a life guided by their faith, so why do they not join forces in order to be stronger if they wish to retain the rights to have their place of worship hold influence in society?
Would it not be massively beneficial for them to join forces rather than weaken each other?
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they squabble and ridicule each others religion, it weakens the power of all religions.
Does their personal pride in their chosen dogma override what they feel about the right for all to lead a religiously guided life?
Just curious.

muslims and christians have different beliefs and faiths
both are Abrahamic religions have good connection with each other but muslims belief that jesus was a special prophet sent by allah(god) to show the right path
and christians belief that he was son of god coz he had no father, but they should think that adam dint had a mother or a father and still was born , then jesus atleast had a mother( holy virgin mother mary)
they just make their own beliefs

that would be like asking you why you can't join forces with a religious group due to similar beliefs. They're just too different despite having the same basic principles and you obviously don't know much about either religion.

Even christians spend much of their time fighting amongst themselves. It is because every one thinks they are right and can not accept other points of view.

It is why they are so intolerant of atheists, they can not accept our point of view any more than another theists.

Christians are not in a fight against secularism. It is not a fight at all.

Christianity is a personal relationship with our Creator that changes who we are. It is not an institution that has goals and sacred places, etc.

What could secular society eventually do to Christians? Kill us, torture us, burn our Bibles, force our children to turn us in? Is that what you're fighting for?

They do join together. It should be noted that the US religious reich whilst mainly made up of fundamentalist protestants also has fundamentalist Catholic and Jewish members and were making overtures to the fundamentalist Islamic community of the US (though the events of September 11 2001 kind of stopped that).

Will explain exactly what all these interfaith alliances we keep hearing about are about.

A person tending towards the left wing in either religion may agree with that statement. However those who follow what they perceive to be their religion more strictly may believe that all other religions are wrong (for christians) and all others are infidels (for muslims)

I think though they are to a degree already joined by the fact that they are a religion, both centre on a theory (God/creationism etc) which is as equally valid as an athiest's (darwinism/big bang etc).

I think a far greater issue though is that religous squabble with secular and in doing so weaken everyone. The intellectual energy which is consumed in this debate could be far better used elsewhere (eg. doing my homework instead of talking crap on yahoo answers)

Because they all believe that they worship the only true god but that is obviously not the truth , because no gods or devils exist outside of a brainwashed mind .

People are people so why should it be, you and I should get along so awfully.

God is divisive.

Because the leaders of both churches would rather live in eternal conflict than take a chance on losing their authority.
