I'm Bisexual but "chickened out" of going to a gay nightclub?

My friend (who is straight) and I after leaving a bar passed a gay night club, we thought about going in - he would have been totally fine with it - but I chickened out.

I *really* want to go to one though and don't understand why I chickened out... I just came out as bi about a month ago.

Any ideas about why I was too nervous to enter it? any advice on how to get the courage and go to one?!

what do you mean by "meatmarket night club"?
 
Maybe you were worried about what you would find on the inside. It could also be a fear of rejection, maybe you felt like you wouldn't fit in, or no one would find you attractive. Or you might just not be the nightclub type.
