...these friends have a daughte? the friends have a daughter that was recently divorced after being in an abusive relationship and has 4 kids. My fiance never told me but I guess his parents and her parents had even talked at one point about how great it would be if they got together. (they even grew up together in the same town). Well when I was there to visit last, I cooked dinner for his parents, those friends of the family and some other people. The mom kept bringing up her daughter and it made me feel very uncomfortable. I almost gave the ring back on that visit. I will be moving to his town where all of us will be living as neighbors. (and the girl just may move back to the area with her kids) It's a small town community, not like a city with lots of people so it's made me want to call off the wedding altogether. He's assured me that he's only interested in me, but I'm wondering if he's just being polite somehow and would only wait until I backed out out of courtesy. I don't want to live there the rest of my life surrounded with people that would somehow "feel bad it didn't work out how they thought it might" for the two of them. especially since if they would have, she could have moved in with him and then both of their families could be in close proximity. I will be moving 12 hours from my family. What should I do??
