The turn signal knob on the side of the steering wheel fails to turn on the left and right turn signals. However, when I turn on the hazard lights, they work just fine. I have a 1995 BMW 318ti. I recently purchased the car used. No engine problems but the instrument cluster does not light up on the left side sometimes. And the chime when I insert the key does not turn off either. All these happened at once one day when I was driving the car. The radio was loose, as the people I had purchased it from had changed it. The radio slid out and exposed much of the wiring, as I shoved it back into its slot, the alarm came on and the turn signals stopped working.
