...foreclosure on my paid off house? My dad owned the condo I live in now but he passed away a yr ago. Now I own the condo 100%. I was divorced last year as well. While married I got my wife a new suv, under me and my dads name. But after the divorce I got stuck with the car. The suv is my daily driver but I can't pay the car note anymore. I'm 3 months behind and I'm about to get repoed. The sucky thing is, I can sell the car myself to some1 for how much I owe.
But my main question is, can the bank force a foreclosure or put a lien on my property if they repo the car?
It is homesteaded.....I read a paper that they sent me saying that I have till today to pay balance in full or they car going to have to take action(repo). So I could imagine I don't have much time to sell car on my own unless I hide it somewhere while trying to sell it.
