I have a question, can the Driod play apps? If so, where can I get them at a low price? Thanks, and also is that a good phone the I should get? Thanks for your answers!!!
Absolutely wonderful phone. I have one myself, and just wait until Android 2.1 with the "live walpapers" is released in a few weeks Not to mention being able to "talk" to the keyboard and have it translate your words to text - It's pretty accurate if you are in a quiet room... (I'm running a hacked ROM of 2.1 on my Droid, but the official update should be coming in just a couple of weeks...)
The apps can be found in several different locations, but the most popular and comprehensive collection is in the Android Market - the Market comes pre-installed on Android phones.
You can take a look at a good portion of the apps available, along with reviews and prices at http://androlib.com
There are currently about 30,000 applications available, and that number is growing by about 4000 per month. Almost 2/3 of those, or 20,000 of them are free. The paid apps vary from about 99 cents to a few dollars if you want to purchase them. If you pay for an app, and don't like it and un-install it within 24 hours, you will get your money refunded (the first time - if you download it again, you do not get the option of returning the same app for a refund the second time, which is fair...).
Paid Apps need to be billed to a credit card/debit card, they are NOT billed to your phone bill like some phones are - but you can get a Visa "Gift Card" from Walmart, grocery store etc. and it will work perfectly fine with Google Checkout, if you don't have a credit card or a debit card... That's what I did for my daughter for her Eris.
You will love the phone, and just the free apps can keep you busy for a LONG, LONG time
