i'm trying to put 6 new pistons in my motor

i ordered 3 port and 3 starboard pistons

there are no markings except on top(std for standard)

there are 2 circles stamped inside the piston skirt

one inside the other and the center circle touches one side of the outer circle---which clarifies port or starboard.

but which way do i install the piston on the pin so its design is right

there is a cutaway on the bottom of the piston skirts---which way does it face?
towards the stator or the other end of the block?

any thoughts?
