...deteriorate.. nutrition help? So i've been vegan for two months now.
i've been eating the correct foods and being sure to get a lot of nutrients, but in the last week or so the skin around my hands and knuckles has become very rough and dry, and starting to like, deteriorate..? it stings most of the time and is really irritating!
does anyone know of any reasons why/ what nutrients i could be lacking, and how to fix it?

Good question. I've been vegan before and never had any such things happen. Honestly, I'm thinking it may not have anything to do with being vegan but perhaps something you're putting on your hands. My hands do that in the winter when I use a lot of hand sanitizer(I'm a nurse, gotta keep them hands clean!). If you're sure you're eating right and getting enough protein, fiber, vitamins & nutrients, then perhaps you should just keep them moisturized and see if that helps. Find some really good fragrance free lotion(curel, green top) and give them a week or so. If it continues, definitely go to your doctor as you may have an underlying skin condition.

Hope I've helped & ignore all the dummies that are trying to bring you back over to the dark side!
