introduction. Please help? I'm writing a speech about the first moon landing and i cant think of a introduction or what to include in my speech.

All my science teacher said was "Give a talk about the topic 1-2mins"
Quotes + Suggestions.

Please i do not want all this crap about how the moon landing was fake or what not.

How about something like:

"200 years ago people were riding horses to get from one place to another and communicate. They had no idea or the imagination to think about cellphones, internet, etc., much less a rocket to a moon - the first moon landing."

During the 1960's the space race between the United States and the USSR was a critical issue in world politics....

At that point in time, whoever felt they could lay claim to the moon first would be significanly superior to their rivals....

The race to get to the moon first was fraught with disasters, often fatally so....

Don't trust me on this as I wasn't alive then, but after WW2 was over and done with, the space race was the next great ambition for a lot of countries. It was one of the main reasons for the cold war. You could finish by describing what has yet to be discovered in terms of space travel. Limitless amounts.

Hope this helped in some small way. I wish I was back at school.
