In an "exit" interview will they tell the person you are COMPLAINING?

ABOUT what you had said???? Will they hold it against you??? as far as getting another job. In other words will they tell the NEW boss???

You should always try to leave on a positive note. You will encounter these people again, you may end up working with or for them, and you will certainly need a good reference from them. As long as you are on your way out, keep your complaints to yourself. It will benefit you in the long run.

Legally they can't tell a new employer anything you've said. The only thing they can legally tell your future employers is that you worked there, and verify the dates you've listed and also the salary. They can't tell anyone why you left the company.

No. They use the information to help inform future business decisions and to do a better job of holding on to future employees. They're not going to rat on you or anything.
