In general, do pilots have a good sense of humor?

Or are they easily offended and ultra-serious and conservative?
P.S. True...no stereotype. Just trying to get a feel for the pilots here. Our Director of Operations (who used to be our Chief Pilot) has a switchable car horn that has different funny sounds...such as 3 Stooges, a clown voice, a cracking whip, and a hysterical laugh. You can always tell when he's pulling up to the hangar, and sometimes you can gauge the mood he's going to be in....the cracking whip usually means today he's gonna bust our arses. No horn means there are either VIPs coming and we'd better be on our best behavior, or he's in a grumpy mood and you don't dare give him any shiite.

Haha! The pilot category of life. They're an interesting sub-culture of the transportation culture. They have a sense of humor, but it's like cracking a code seeing as their humor depends on their personality. What would you think about if you were to see nothing but sky for five hours? Try to fit into their mind set, I'm sure he'd laugh at a joke such as, "Why was the tomato blushing? Because it seen the salad dressing!"

If they don't have a sense of humor they won't last long in the business. The easily offended ultra serious types get wound around the axle pretty quickly. They're the most fun to watch.
