In my car the airbag readiness continues to flash all the time, how can I fix it?

I got a mercury cougar 1999 2.5 and the airbag readiness is flashing all the time, how can I fix it or erase it? does anyone know a website where can I find information about it? or if you know how to fix it please help me. thank you in advance

1. I would try mitchell on demand or alldata
2. You fix the problem by properly diagnosing it and repairing it.
