...cd/am/fm/xm/mp3 player(head unit) what? (continued) What is the solid orange wire, the orange wire w/ white line, the blue wire w/ white line, the solid yellow wire used for??? F.Y. I. = The harness end that connects to my vehicles wiring harness has the two orange wires, but the wiring adapter that connects to my cd player, has no orange wires on it. Maybe this will help also: The adapter that connects to the back of my head unit has the following wires: 1 solid white,1 white with a black line, 1 solid gray, 1 gray w/ a black line, 1 solid purple, 1 purple w/ a black line, 1 solid green, 1 green w/ a black line, 1 blue w/ a white line, 1 solid red, 1 solid yellow, and 1 solid black wire. The adapter that connects to my vehicles wiring harness has all the wires that are listed above for my head unit, plus a solid orange wire and an orange wire with a white line.
