Interesting Topic ideas for an Informative Speech?

I have to give an informative speech for my class this semester.. It's NOT a How-to type of speech. It has to be 4 to 6 minutes roughly but I haven't been able to find an interesting topic that I can research and explain to the class so I would appreciate any ideas on some topics I could use

PS: It should be a specific topic, like if it's about dogs then it should be a specified (Great Dane) and I can build up from there. Got any interesting ideas?
 
Try homosexuality and why it's far more natural than people think it is. You will have something called kairos (i think thats what its called) meaning, its a very relevant issue currently. You will also have a LOT of information for it.
 
Here are some ideas that come to mind - the discovery of neutrons travelling faster than light and implications to physics, the life and death of King Tut (Tutankhamen), the concept of spontaneous human combustion, problems due to space debris, how the Easter Island civilization ended, the threat posed by the San Andreas Fault
