I have decided to add internal bluetooth to my laptop via the usb data lines available on the mini pci-e slot. I soldered everything in place and the bluetooth dongle i used had a diode to drop the 5 volts from usb to 3.8v for the dongle but i powered it with 3.3v available from the slot. it works fine except that i cant make any bluetooth connections for more than a few seconds at a time before the connection is dropped. Is it because the voltage is too low or because a bad solder joint or is it maybe because the wires i used were very thin and about 6 in long? Plz answer only if you know what you are talking about and no stupid answers like just buy a new laptop. the guide i used http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=2334 look at the 8th post
