Internet Privacy Settings won't stay.?

I recently noticed that my Internet Privacy thingie is automatically reverting to 'Accepts all cookies'. I have tried changing it back to the default option, but when I open the Internet Properties again, it has changed back to 'accepts all'. This is huge issue. Any ideas on what might be wrong, and how to fix it without destroying my computer files?
 
never heard of internet privacy ... but cookies .... most of them are harmless ... just clean your computer daily .. and get a security product

i had the same problem just today.i just typed in administrator in the windows xp log in screen and pressed okay.if when you boot your computer the welcome screen comes up press ctrl-alt-delete twice then just do what i said.this method works for my computer hope it works for yours
