So as my son needs a phone contract and I need the new iPhone 4, there is an oppertunity...

We all know at the moment the only way to get an iPhone is on vodafone, o2 handsets are sold out everywhere! So I phoned o2 and said if I buy a vodafone iPhone can I swap my old o2 number to my vodafone account and use the new number (that i get with the purchased iPhone) on my existing o2 account. They said no, as the process requires a pac code which would cancel my existing o2 contract meaning that I would have to pay the rest of the contract out. 16 months at £40 = £640!!! NO THANKS

The plan....

Phone o2 tomorrow and swap my contract number onto an old pay & go o2 sim, this automatically puts the number from the p&g sim on my contract. Now when i request a pac code on the o2 p&g sim there is no contract to pay out, it will only cancel the p&go account - meaning that i wont have to pay anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then finally call t-mobile (my sons network provider) get a pac code from them and swap the number on his p&go sim to my o2 contract. Thus meaning:

- I have an iPhone 4 on vodaphone with my old o2 contract.
- my son has my old o2 contract with his existing t-mobile number.

Anyone see any problems that could arise????

Thanks!
