Iphone 5 Ringtone questions, Cant get it to work?

Well i bought a new ringtone for my Iphone and well i set it as my text message ringtone and im just wondering why it wont work. When i get a text message i get total silence its really weird? just wondering if anyone knows what im doing wrong. Probably really simple lol but not for me :)
 
You may want to check the little switch on the side of the iPhone above the volume buttons....
Might be set to vibrate or in worst case broken...
