iphone battery life drops very fast?

when i bought my iphone 3G, they weren't any problem with it. The battery life is able to withstand up to two days with just sms and making calls(w/o playing games). After two weeks i got my phone i experience problem with my GPRS, so i'm told by my service provider to DL the app BossPref. However since installing it, i'm not sure this problem is cause by bosspref? the problem is now my battery life is not even able to withstand half a day. Even it is on standby mode(means not using), the battery life will drop very fast. Pls assist me, i'm not sure what to do. Is there such problem llike any hidden application running or so?

I have that problem too sometimes, but i think i've figured it out. Sometimes the battery shows a false amount, so like, if it says its full, it's not really. Theres really no way to tell, so I just keep mine on the charger overnight and it's okay the next day.. it lasts about 2 days. Try that out, if it doesnt work then maybe you need to show it to someone.

Edit:
Assuming it's hacked..maybe you shouldnt show it to someone lol. Well that could also be the problem as when you hack your iPhone you could accidentally modify something.
