Why won't my iphone let me update my ringtones,it says it will delete all my music? Has anybody else had this problem and how can I fix it?
It's the same computer..So I should going ahead and update ringtones first then add my music back?
Is the computer that you are putting the ringtones on with the same computer that you synced with to put the music on in the first place. If it is, the songs will just be put back on when you sync.
If it's not, there's nothing you can do. The iPhone can only sync music, movies, ringtones, etc. with one computer at a time. If you try to sync with 2 computers, iTunes will erase everything from the first computer before it syncs anything from the second.
The only way to add things from another computer to your iPhone is to save the ringtone that you want to a flash drive or email it to yourself. Get the file from your email or flash drive and open it on the computer that you first used to put music on the iPhone. Then, using that computer, you will be able to add the ringtone without losing anything.
