if something on an app is saved to the memory of an ipod touch or ipad can you still view that thing if you don't have a internet connection

Example:

Pretend if i got a movieflicks app for 5.99 and i was able to buy a movie within the app and save it to my movieflicks library go out of the app disconnect from the internet and go back into the app would I be able to still view the movie from the library , if you think about it you don't need a internet wifi connection when your playing a game without the internet

how could it be any different right?

Here's the issue. If all the data (continuing on your example, the data means the movies from your movie app) is stored within the app itself, then yes, you'll be able to access it with or without an internet connection. However, that would mean that the app would probably be huge, because everything will be stored inside it. It's more likely that, for an app containing some sort of searching database (where you can find movies, or other apps, or local restaurants, or whatever) you'll need to be connected to the internet. Games don't need the internet to play because the data for the actual gameplay is all that's included in the app itself; you'll only need access to the internet if you need to post scores to a local or widespread scoreboard.

Hope this helped! :)
