iPod nano photo help?

I have recently got the new nano-chromatic iPod and I'm having trouble with the photos! When I add a photo file from my computer it comes up with 1 file on the iPod. When I add another photo folder it replaces the other one I added - if that makes sense!
How do you get more than 1 photo file on the iPod??
