...screenwriting? Hi, I wanted to ask anyone based on knowledge if a degree is really necessary if my passion is within writing and animation. I've always enjoyed writing screenplays and creating short films, but nothing really interests me in college that is really marketable. I don't want to spend four years earning a degree in Film Studies or English, because they aren't really marketable.
I feel like I'm racking too much debt going to school getting a degree in something I'm not really interested in. Plus, college makes me feel depressed as hell because I feel alienated and alone. There aren't any clubs or majors here in my college that interest me much. I wanted to transfer to a different school closer to home, but when I visited them I felt the same way I did in all my schools.
