REPOST DUE TO ZIONAZI'S REMOVING ORIGINAL POST, TELL EVERYONE OF THIS EMAIL/BOAT TRIP

ok, as an a member of my local Oxfam campaign group, i have links with people of other campaigns and a women from the free gaza movement, she sent me this email..........

"The Free Gaza Movement ship, "SPIRIT OF
HUMANITY," will leave Larnaca Port at 12:00 noon, Monday, 12 January,
on an emergency mission to besieged Gaza. The ship will carry
desperately needed doctors, journalists, human rights workers, and
members of several European parliaments as well as medical supplies.

There will be a vigil in Derby Market Place from 12pm - 1pm on Monday 12th
January, to highlight this action. We will gather from 12-12.15, and from 12.15-12.30
stand in silence, in the style of the Women in Black vigils, which happen all over the world,
many for years (including from within Israel) calling for an end to the Israeli occupation.
We will have a banner saying 'STOP KILLING IN GAZA' and there will be leaflets
to hand out to passers-by detailing why we are there and an action they can take:

CALL the Israeli Government and let them know that the
SPIRIT OF HUMANITY is coming to Gaza. DEMAND that Israel immediately
STOP slaughtering civilians in Gaza and STOP using violence to prevent
human rights and humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people.
Contact details will be included and are listed below.

There will also be leafletting and banners at the traffic lights on Kedleston Road near Derby Uni, from 5-6pm.

If you can't make it to either or both of these times, please pass on this info to someone else who might be able. Thank you x

MORE INFO

Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip have injured thousands of civilians
and killed over 800 people, including scores of women and children.
This ongoing Israeli massacre severely and massively violates
international humanitarian law defined by the Geneva Conventions,
especially the obligations of an Occupying Power and the requirements
of the laws of war.

This voyage marks Free Gaza's second attempt to break through the
blockade since Israel began attacking the Gaza Strip on 27 December.
Between August and December 2008, the Free Gaza Movement successfully
challenged the Israeli blockade five times, landing the first
international ships in the port of Gaza since 1967.

Israel has closed off Gaza from the international
community and demanded that all foreigners leave. But Huwaida Arraf,
an organizer with the Free Gaza Movements, stated that, "We cannot
just sit by and wait for Israel to decide to stop the killing and open
the borders for relief workers to pick up the pieces. We are coming
in. There is an urgent need for this mission as Palestinian civilians
in Gaza are being terrorized and slaughtered by Israel, and access to
humanitarian relief denied to them. When states and the international
bodies responsible for taking action to stop such atrocities chose to
be impotent, then we--the citizens of the world--must act. Our common
humanity demands nothing less.""

God speed and protect you and bless you for having the courage of your compassion that our American government lacks. Please keep us updated here and other places because news of your voyage will likely be kept secret by our media.

Thanks for the numbers.

P.S. The hate filled people who wish you ill show their lack of humanity and add to the proof of Israel's lack of compassion for anyone but themselves which opens our eyes to their spite and venim.

That's nice... Let's see if they make it there without being bombarded by israel first. Insallah they won't be. I also stand vigil for peace on both sides. But I do know that until Israel decides to NOT JUST stop bombing, but also stop the blockade, bring mass murderers into justice and end the occupation, returning homes and lands to their rightful palestinian owners, there will be no peace. <:(

So, em.....knowing that Israel bans journalists from Gaza, you are sending journalists (likely very left wing) into Gaza against the rules of the Israeli government ? All I can say is beware of rocket fire. Are you asking for some kind of response ? The humanitarian effort's nice but I question your motives....
