Is anyone else in the Politics section sick of the immaturity on both sides...

...of the political spectrum? It seems like no matter what is posted there are mostly immature replies to questions, and then when someone posts something truly interesting, the other side gets it deleted....

This is a question and answer forum, which lends itself to debate, but most people use this forum simply for sniping at the other side, or being abusive and derisive. I know it keeps me from taking part as much as possible...how do others feel?

See, the problem is that while this is SUPPOSED to be a question and answer forum, it's mostly a "whomever agrees with me gets thumbs up and 10 pts."

It's not that many people in this section that have insightful questions that they really want to know the answer to. It's more "let me ask this so I can piss people off."

I think the ignorance is even more annoying. I find it extremely difficult to answer questions when the asker doesn't even know what he/she is talking about.

That's because there are a lot of young adults & teens on this site that have been thouroughly indoctrinated by their liberal teachers to live in a socialistic society. I have a middle aged daughter who used to tell me how her teachers would belittle her political beliefs in front of the class because they did not match his own. So what do you expect.

It's the same old clown show that's been going on since the 90's. It's not going to end, the cats out of the bag in a sense.

Government needs to return to business instead of trying to be celebrities.

Most of us are. But do you honestly think it will improve as long as there are high profile individuals on the radio and t.v. doing the best they can to divide the people of this nation???

Now I'm placing my over/under bets on how many people answer by blaming one side or the other.

EDIT: I never thought I'd agree with somebody called Bumfuq. What is the point behind the points? Is there some prize catalog that I am missing? I admit that I have only barely read the rules and typically I only do that when I get a violation that I can't pinpoint. I also wonder about the people who block other people? Not allow email I understand. I even understand blocking your q and a since I tend to share too much, but totally blocking a person so they can't answer your questions? Why bother to ask?

Please note that I believe I still have not mentioned either political party (or even a third party) in this answer! It can be done!

I agree. It's the teenage Obama bashers that don't know what they are talking about. It would take too much common sense to do this. I like it though. It gives me a chance to educate and correct them.

Well, most Democrats on Yahoo are people who have never worked a day in their lives.

Many are just little kids. Hence, the immaturity.

The rest are just Welfare People.
