Is Avatar on DVD and Blu-ray shorter than the cinema release?

I have heard about them cutting scenes from it and to be honest it does seem shorter.

If they did cut some scenes can you tell me which one or a place where I can find out. (I do kind of remember a scene where Jake was learning to walk or something that is not in the new release).
 
there was some controversy when the movie was released for being pg-13 and having a sex scene so the dvd decided to cut out the sex scene. That was the only scene cut out. Yeah i understand it being so long that its hard to remember if scenes were cut out after watching the movie but that was the only scene.
