Is Barry Bonds the biggest letdown baseball has ever seen?

Thank you!

While I don't condone Bond's juicing one bit, I do believe that baseball has had bigger letdowns.

I dont think anyone should hate on barry bonds till he is caught,He hasnt been caught doing steriods bottom line

He doesn't NEED to be caught! It's obvious to anyone with at least one functioning lung...

Though I have strongly suspect drug use from Bonds, I have seen guys with FAR greater muscle mass and athletic ability than he has ever dreamed of that have never used any illegal substances (i see one in the mirror on at least a daily basis). To the general public, muscle = steroid use. Though there are many who achieved it that way, there are still quite a few who have done it by working hard and smart.

Has your head size increased in conjunction with your mass? How many large scale gains have you made since age 36? Have you doubled in size since your twenties?

Barry Bonds did all these things, while maintaining strength and conditioning of his fast twitch muscles over 130-150 games for five consecutive seasons since his 35th birthday...until his fitness level magically dropped the same season that steroid testing was enacted, and a convenient injury kept him sidelined (and also away from drug testing) for nearly the entire year.

people are reading my posts in a way unintended...
although i do not condone what the athletes are doing, it is a sad fact that he will still go down in the history books.

he will no doubt be still happy at his 'legacy' of sorts

it does not make him admirable but it does none the less make him a figure in history regardless....

slip you seem to roll your eyes a fair amount on MAP, maybe the flies are getting in your eyes while riding that horse of yours
Read my posts again before you start getting condescending

does it have any impact on this topic?
but i will answer your question, yes... about 5 years ago i dabbled in one cycle, decided it wasn't the direction i wanted to go and quit altogether.

i realised what it took to get anywhere near the top of my 'sport' and it wasn't something i was willing to doi in the end.

Back to the topic in hand

I was merely retorting to the way you engage in adult conversation, still proving me wrong eh?

no why couldnt you start off with this paragraph, much more fitting.
It is a part of sport, but in some dark shady corner.... if you were to investigate 100% every professional team sprt in the world, every club, i bet my yearly salary that one person out of the whole team is breaking the rules on performance enhancing drugs.
Its not accepted practice but clubs, coaches and board of directors do turn a blind eye to it if that player is making headlines for the sport.

Some are aware, some choose not to speak up for fear of repurcusions, its not as easy as blowing the whistle, it has repurcutions.

exactly my point

yes i can imagine they do, the side effects of such chemical dabbing is not exactly positive on the general health of an athlete.

While not happy 100%, they still have that title, record or belt they have always wanted. 'it was worth it in the end' type of mentality

If they fail and end up with no success...

it does indeed take hard work. training and sacrifice... people on juice dont take their foot off the pedal either, but the natural athlete has a tougher time.
