is eharmony a good site to join?

I joined in October of 2010. It's good because it asks a lot of personality questions, and matches you with similar people in your area. The downside is that it costs a decent amount... But because it does, it keeps losers who aren't serious off of it. Another downside is that it gives you your matches, but doesn't allow you to search for anyone. Some have complained about a lack of matches, but I received at least 5 new matches every day. I met three girls, and one of them is now my girlfriend. It’s going well, so I’m a fan of eHarmony.

Good luck.

***I also tried free dating websites. I found them to be garbage. One of the ones I tried was Plenty of Fish. Sure, it's great because it's free. But it's also bad because it's free. You don't have to pay anything, but that leads to guys searching for girls to get laid, people who don't take it seriously, profiles that are jokes, etc. I had a profile for a couple of years, and sent out probably 30 emails or so. I had one date out of it (after a girl emailed me), and that was it.

Yes, actually. I joined it on a whim in January because I live in an area that doesn't have many single men my age (I live in a super small town). I found an online code to get a discounted rate. I was on the site, had a few dates, for about 2 months. Then, the site matched me with this absolutely wonderful man. The commercial did happen, and if you open your mind to the possibility you'll get great results. Join, be proactive, and have an open mind. It worked for me!

I personally don't believe in paying for dating websites. Only because there are tons of other dating sites out there that are completely free that do the exact same thing as eHarmony. Also, I have heard from a couple of friends that eHarmony rejects quite a bit of people. Obviously, feel free to try it out but I would reccommend either OkCupid.com or PlentyOfFish.com. I've actually had quite a bit of luck with the first one.

Hope it goes well!
