Is Gizmo a good name for a female sugar glider?

I've always wanted a pet named gizmo I think its a really cute name and I'm getting a female sugar glider but I don't know if gizmo is a good name for a female. I don't want to constantly have to defend naming her gizmo if people want to say its a boy name. I need some opinions please
 
You really do need to get to gliders to make them happy.
I personally think Gizmo is a much over used name. I breed gliders so I look in the online lineage database for glider sometimes and there 30 or more Gizmos listed where most names don't have more than 10 listed. I also think that it is normally a boys name (and should be) but I have heard it used as a girls name. If you want to name your girl glider Gizmo DO IT. She is your glider and you can name her what you want!
