do you think he likes me or only thinks of me as a friend?

so here's the story:
about a month ago this guy who is in two of my classes who i have never really talked to had to work on a project with me and I found out that convo. with him was really easy and enjoyable. About a week after that he walked with me after school and asked if I do track because he had seen me running. I answered yes and then he told me about the clubs hes in and his life outside of school. That week we had brief ten minute conversations between classes and then one day he gave me a hug and said"there'll be more tomorrow i promise!" and so the next day he showed up to my practice and talked to me and hugged me before he left. The week after that he started walking me like everywhere even to lunch, and to the locker room after school and gave me a hug everyday. He even showed up to my race and talked to me for about 45 minutes before it. Homecoming is coming up and he keeps bringing it up and said"im going and you should too maybe we could hang out there" and after he walked me to the locker room and hugged me and asked me to go to homecoming with him..i said yes. but im just not sure...what do you think?
