message? We've been friends for a few months now but don't see each other much as he lives 50km away. Anyhow, a week ago he invited me for a coffee and we talked about relationships. We're both single, no children in our 30s. He asked me if I wanted to be with a man, if I ever felt alone. I told him I'd like to and we both confessed that we we do sometimes feel alone. He invited me for a day to the place he lives and said 'My best friend wants to meet you too, I told him about you'. (That best friend is happily married).
After that meeting I realised I'm beginning to fall for him so a few days later I sent him a message thanking him for the invite. He got back straight away..a friendly reply. Then today I messaged 'Hey, how's it going? I'd like to chat to you tonight by phone. Can you?' He wrote back 'Sorry! I'm out of the city for a few days'

Do you think he's just not interested? I'm disappointed in the message but maybe reading too much into it.

it's normal to be disappointed since you start already to fall for him ;) but a moment please ! be patient to can find answers to all your questions , why you are in a hurry to discover everything faster !? you can wait more ( you won't die , right ? lol) ,and then see if he contacts you to tell you that he's back, or ask about him again and check his answer.

you know, time gives chance to you and him to know what you realy feel to each other and if there's a real chance to be together.

maybe it's too early to jump to any conclusions.

perhaps, he is really busy... only you can verify that. or maybe, he is little slow/reserve in accepting everything too fast or too openly.

give him some time and if the situation doesn't improve then weigh the pros and cons of going ahead with this relationship.

If you guys seemed to hit it off when you originally went out it is possible that he really is just going to be out of town for a few days. It's not unlikely. However, people have cell phone and if he really was interested in you I believe he would have made every effort to be able to talk to you.

While this may sound discouraging especially since you really like the guy, he may not be interested. But hey, I am no expert OR the guy himself.

What I would do is, give it some time. Maybe reply back saying that you would love for him to get in touch with you when he return (don't say anything to gushy or scary, since men are weird) and then just give it time, go on with your life. If he calls then he does and if he doesn't you have a wonderful evening as a memory and you know THAT wasn't the guy for you.
