Is it a sin for a Christian to believe that Santa doesn't exist?

For some reason people really love to tell me that I'm going to hell, I'm a disgrace to Christians, I should be shot, that sort of thing.

As a brat, I believed he existed till my dad told me he didn't. Now that I'm older, I know now that he doesn't exist. I don't get why people would be so uptight. Their excuses mean nothing to me.

Are there any Christians who doesn't believe Santa exists?
 
Santa does exist. He is another incarnation of Satan. It was created to draw attention away from the birth of Jesus. Think about it. Kids pray to Santa for presents. He always knows what they are doing. If they have been good or not. So they don't behave for Jesus; they do it for Santa who will bestow gifts on them just like Jesus gives the gift of eternal life. Santa is Satan.
 
I am Christian and I don't believe in Santa Claus although I do believe the story is based on the real Saint Nicholas I agree with Gesonta -Santa is a diversion of Satan to distract people from honoring Jesus. And then when children find out that Santa isnt real they will also think that could mean that God isnt real either. Any time we worship Jesus the devil will find a way to corrupt and confuse people. Santa is one of those ways of turning Christs birthday into a day of materialism and selfishness.
 
Saint Nicholas was real and had a reputation for secret gift-giving, such as putting coins in the shoes of those who left them out for him, and thus became the model for Santa Claus. And he is remembered and honored among catholic and orthodox christians.

Nicholas (the Saint that Santa is based on) was real. Jebus is imaginary. It's more foolish to believe in a completely made up person than to believe in someone who at least existed at one time.
 
Are not he same letters used in Satan used for santa. Maybe Satan saw santa as one of his biggest draw cards and is why he chose the same letters.

Santas do exist! There are hundreds of them in Finland. And they use funds that people donated to buy gifts for children in orphanage.
 
Well if that is what your hearing its not coming from true Christians. If your Dad told you to jump off a cliff would you do it. Under the question, Atheist? read what Sage wrote about Christians. People who believe in something just because their Dad told them or it was the way I was raised are very narrow minded. Unless you study and research in depth yourself why, you'll believe just about anything someone tells you, now won't you! Tell me this young man (and answer this honestly) If you were on an airplane and it was headed straight for the ground would you listen to your Dad or your God? Remember eternity as compost is a long time! Listen to what is on the inside, you know that voice of reason that speaks to you from time to time! I know because I know it all!
 
no, it is commendation due for those because Santa doesn't exist, all a big lie. No proof except every wannabe in a red suit at the malls.
 
It is just their nature or whatever that not only they have to always be a sinner for any reason but they want us to join their club. No thank you and you ought to know what to tell the next that tries to belittle you. They think that anything that takes place in December belongs to their belief system.
 
A Christian believes the Bible, and the Bible says he exists. You can't pick and choose what you believe in the Bible. Jesus Christ said if ye believe not Moses words, how can ye believe me. Moses talked about Satan. If you don't believe all the Bible, you don't believe the Bible. Jesus Christ said, "He that is of God, heareth God's words, ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God".
 
No, it isn't a sin "not" to believe in a made up character created for merchandising purposes.
