I am an Indian (India) guy and the girl I am in a relationship with is Hispanic. Well, when we lived in Oklahoma no one really gave us any racism or any weird looks at all, it is like people assumed we were both of the same race (which is kind of ignorant but then again at least I didn't have a hard time).
In Los Angeles, daily I hear trash talk from Hispanic males because I am dating a Latina and daily I hear some of the nastiest stereotypes about Indian guys, when I try to "make a big deal out of it", my "progressive" friends say "chill out it is only a joke!".
I thought big cities like Los Angeles were supposed to be more progressive and stuff!? Like aren't they too good for this "racism" thing?
