i heard that its better not to work out so your muscles are loose and your strikes are more productive.
i think its good to be loose for knockout power

ok there are different things your talking about a normal work out for these guys is eat train for about three hours eat again then run for a couple miles then eat again then right before the end of the day they will do something like strength yoga for their endurance... alltogether around 8-10 hours of training every day so when you tell to workout like an average joe does they would get nothing but a loosening of the muscles. so yes a workout that most people know is something that they would do earlier that day then alot of efc fighters do a little bit of yoga and meditation before a fight (yoga for loosening of muscles, while the meditation is more of a calmness)

While you want to go out there warmed up you don't want to work out that day but instead conserve your energy for your fight. There is a difference in warming up in that you don't normally expend the energy in doing that if you are in shape and have good endurance like what you might otherwise do while working out. Any energy you expend in just needlessly working out is that much less you will have and there is nothing to be gained by working out the same day of your fight.
