I am moving to Berlin in a couple of months and I am starting to look for a job. Everywhere you look it says that the unemployment rate is really high in Berlin but does that spread across all industries? I work as a Visual Merchandiser here in London so Fashion Retail is the Field im interested in. The KaDaWe Department store looks like the perfect place but does anybody know if its hard to find a job there? Especially with minimal German (I have just learnt the basics so far). I will be arriving in Berlin with enough money to live for maybe two or three months whilst looking for something. Do you think that is enough time? Thanks guys

It all depends upon luck, sometimes you get job in a one day or easily and sometimes it takes longer. But you be positive and keep searching.

Good luck.

The KaDeWe is "high end" you're heading for, but H&M and many small fashion stores (who produce their own fashion) in Berlin will sure welcome you, although they'll possibly pay only minimal wages. You might be better off if you go freelancing and work on a job-by-job basis, like I do, but it may worsen your chances of renting a flat when you first move to Germany. However: Good luck! I'm sure you'll make it.
