...backup copies? I'm not saying I am or am planning on doing it, I was just curious after a friend telling me how he had backed up most of his disk-based media collection. Also, is it legal to sell the original+backup when selling the original disk? What about making a backup from a borrowed/rented disk when you own the original bu it is not in working/copiable condition?
Any help or advice you could give me would be helpful, but please only include FACTS. While all imput is appreciated, I am specifically looking for facts and laws on this matter. Thanks.
P.S. Just it reiterate, I DO NOT plan on doing this. I am just curious to this seemingly "loophole" and wonder if people have ever exploited it or if laws have already been past for this reason/if existing laws already cover this issue. And thanks again in advance.
