Hi, I have been wanting to make personal backup copies of DVD's that I own and that I purchased, and I have looked up the question of whether it's legal or not on Google, but all I get is conflicting input from people saying "yes, it is illegal" and "no, if you purchased the DVD and only intend to use the copy for a backup for yourself, it is NOT illegal." I haven't made any copies yet because I want to make sure that it is ok to do so first. I only intend to use them for the sole purpose of a backup... not to sell them or give them away. If anybody knows the true, correct answer, can you tell me? Much appreciation!
