Is it normal to feel intimidated to meet someone in person that you met online?

I have been talking to this guy over the phone that i met on face book.We haven't met in person yet but we are planning to meet up soon.However,i feel intimated to meet him in person because i haven't gone on date for a long time and i don't know what to expect since i met him online.He obviously know how i look like since i met him on face book so i am not worried about that.

Is it normal to feel this way?
 
Yes. Some people seem to be nice and they may not be. My sister met a guy on line, met him and eventually moved in with him. Her 14 year old daughter was raped by this man and he was put in jail but the psychological damage to my niece has been severe. People may not be all they seem and it is wise to be cautious in meeting someone you don't really know because on line they can only tell the good stuff.
 
So are you saying you're planning a hookup to cheat on your spouse, or did you just post this in the wrong category?
