Is it ok to do the cabbage soup diet to kick start a long term healthy eating plan?

So i know the cabbage soup diet is
- not HEALTHY to do for a long time since it is not balanced and starves your body
-the weight it makes you lose is basically water weight, not fat

But is it ok to do it for just one week as a detox before you go on a balanced healthy 1400-1500 calorie diet? I feel sooo bloated...

Also is exercise recommended with the cabbage soup diet?
