...interest is social etiquette? we all know that people with asperger's have a tendancy to get obsessed with a particular subject, one could be obsessed with trains, while the other with geology.

well, i was wondering, could there be a person with asperger's syndrome who's particular topic of expertise is socializing or social etiquette?

like, this person's main interest would be picking up on how to act in a certain situation...
like perhaps sub conciously he would watch people and how they act, then the next time hes in that particular situation he would act like the last time. he would seem kind of robot-ish because he doesnt take in to account the current situation, but instead he just acts out what he saw last time in the other similar situation.. so when something new happens maybe hes confused?

like monkey see monkey do.

the reason i ask this is because i suspect i might have it. and ive had 6 jobs. every single one i feel like i've acted like a robot. this is because i have no idea how to do the work, at first i seem very confused and lost, and i feel as though my co workers get annoyed.

another thing, when i am at parties, and i go around talking to people, i THINK, im not sure, but I THINK i put on this attitude where i know they will treat me bad, every thing from my tone of voice to my face says "yeah i know you're gonna treat me bad"

don't ask why, but thats what suspect.

so its like a form of aspergers that is READY for social combat.. and when something new happens, however small, it throws me off and i get confused.

im thinking a lot. im not saying i know i have aspergers, but i really hope i dont.
